For many people, digital photography means getting photographs immediately and sharing them with a vast network of people. For others, digital photography means cheapening the time-honored art of photography. How do traditional and digital photography differ and what are the pros and cons of digital photography?
Digital photography differs from traditional in how the image is captured. Rather than an image being processed onto a piece of film, digital photography utilizes thousands (or millions) of small squares called pixels to create an image. Each pixel stores information about the contents of that particular pixel, such as color, brightness and contrast. In this way, digital photography cameras act more like computers than traditional cameras.
The biggest pro of digital photography is immediacy. Most digital photography cameras have an LCD screen on the back where the photographer can see the picture immediately. Being able to see the photo immediately and being able to download the photo to either a computer or a digital picture printer eliminates film and developing costs.
The biggest drawback to using digital photography rather than traditional photography is the resolution. Although traditional has a higher resolution than digital photography, for many laypeople it isn’t an issue. Digital photography can produce a resolution high enough to satisfy all but perhaps print-layout needs.
Lack of creative control is another con, particularly with “point and click” digital photography. This feature is great for amateurs, but for professionals, it can be frustrating to have light, contrast, and focus decided for them. However, many different types of digital photography cameras are offered, and professionals don’t have to settle for “point and click” photography.
In the end, it depends on what you want from a camera. For ease of use, lower cost, and better storage options, digital photography is the way to go.
I’ve seen a lot of online gambling review sites popup lately. Let me clarify that. I’ve seen a lot of bad online getting review sites popup lately.
So it is rather refreshing when one of our site sponsors asked us to review their online gambling review site. This site is for top gambling reviews and recommendations
Sportsbook-Watch pretty much reviews anything having to do with gambling. Besides live sports scores and live sportsbook lines they also have a poker websites review section.
As a poker player, no make that an AVID poker player, I know the criteria I look for in an online poker website.
The first thing I’m going to want to know about online poker website is the amount and quality of single player, multiple player, tournaments, and free roll tournaments.

Next, but what I consider most important, is the speed of my cash out when I choose to withdraw money from the site. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve built up around $2,000.00 in a poker account then attempted to withdraw some. I’ve heard excuses like “we can only do a certain amount of withdrawals per day” and “we have to be careful transferring money otherwise will get in trouble”. It took almost six weeks to get paid once. Then, they made me pick up my money at Western Union. It was a bunch of BS.
Next most important is the quality of customer service that I get what I call the 18 hundred number listed on the web site. How long did I have to hold? With a customer service staff friendly? Were they helpful? Knowledgeable? Are they just try to get me off the phone?
The next thing that SPORTSBOOK-WATCH reviews is the longevity of the poker site. How long has the poker website been in business?
Another thing that sports book watch notes is the available promotions and specials available to poker players. I’m not a big fan of sign up specials. They just make you play too many raked hands for it to be worthwhile. Some bonuses require that you pay 1000 hands before you get your bonus. That’s about four months of poker if you play every day.
